I was able to make the wagashi (和菓子 Japanese sweets) making and tea event at the community center this time! 

Even though most of the base materials were pre-made for us, shaping the sweets is probably the hardest part.  The teacher made it look so easy, but it really wasn't.  

Luckily, they still tasted delicious especially with the matcha we had after.  

We had an informal tea ceremony where we were served tea and (tried our best) to follow the rules of tea drinking etiquette.  Afterward, we were able to sample various teas and whisk our own.  

My matcha whisking skills from NY came in handy.
