Running into people is so awkward, but so delightful for me.
It makes me feel like I know people.
I ran into someone at this soba restaurant and also at uniqlo.
We also happened to see the 自衛隊 jieitai (Japan Self-Defense Forces) parade.  It was coincidentally right in front of the soba restaurant. Our town's mayor was there and she walked right in front of us, so we were able to say hi.
Today was full of happy surprises.
