a thursday
The weekday drinking continues. After shuji, my friend picked me up and we went to a sports goods store in the city. I bought a couple light weights--whether I will really use them is still being determined, but I also was excited to buy a tracksuit finally! Japanese people--especially teachers, all seem to have a tracksuit that is always pretty loose fitting and looks very comfortable. It's strange because the workplace doesn't really allow casual looking clothes (like jeans or even more casual skirts/shirts), but if you're wearing athletic wear it's fine? The rules seem very confusing to me--if there are even any rules. Anyway, I decided I would wear my tracksuit at the upcoming festival, too, so it was a good buy!
Afterward we went to the yakitori place my friend often frequents. I've been there a few times already, so I've also gotten to know the owner. He gave me a free beer, and let me try some of his homemade cassis liquor and another one made from a different fruit, but I forgot what it is... Anyway, they were both pretty strong and I got pretty buzzed...again.
I thought the color was cute, also this brand seems to be really popular in Japan. I hadn't heard of it until I came here. |
