uni don

Today, was another long awaited day of uni!  This time, I went with Takako and our coworker to an uni place in Tairadate!  Luckily it wasn't raining and the weather was really nice in Kanita and Aomori, but in Tairadate it was cloudy and foggy.  I ate so much since I ate both the uni-don and tsukemen.  And of course 完食！(kanshoku eating everything on the plate! every last rice grain!)

Afterward we took a shopping trip in the city.  I went to a store we like and wanted to buy a gray or a light-colored suit for the warmer months, but ended up buying a bag instead.  I was looking for a more casual going out bag, and it was 50% off plus another 10% off, so it was a really good find!  Anyway, my other goal was to buy swim suits so that I'd be beach ready! for the short summer that we have here.  I actually do want to try to go to the beach this year, so we'll see if the swimsuits get put to use.  In Hawaii, people seem to have as many swimsuits as they do regular clothes, but I always only had one or two... I got these swimsuits in Uniqlo for super cheap--they were on sale for 390-790 yen (about 3-8 dollars), but the quality isn't bad at all, and I actually really like more simple designs, plus they actually fit me!  Needless to say, I was very happy. 

Since I ate so much for lunch, I ate a light dinner of avocado toast with egg and made my new favorite appetizers with the uni I got yesterday.  (uni on ritz crackers + shaved parmesan, super simple, but tastes so good!)
